Please can you define "doesn't work" specifically to help with the fault-finding process?
1 . How many cards have you had issues with?
2. Do the new problem cards differ visually from the previous working cards, eg card numbering missing or different markings?
3. Was it verified the cards purchased are compatible with the access control system they are intended to work with?
4. Does the reader react to the card in any way? Does the reader beep or flash an LED when the card is presented for example?
5. Does the reader read the card successfully but the Access Control system rejects the read as "invalid card / invalid access / bad read" for example?
6. Has this card been enrolled in the Access Control system and been given access rights?
7. Has the access control panel been updated with the full access control list from the enrolment system?
8. Are all the readers on site the same type and what is the make/model/serial number if available?
