Yes, this is possible with DESFire EV1, but not EV2 at this time.

The configuration for MIFARE DesFire EV1 cards in the Keyboard Wedge interface is pretty straight forward.

You select DesFire EV1 in the card technology drop down list in the Card Data Selection tab.

You check the Box Custom 1 for the first dataset you like to read from the card.

You need to enter your Application Id in the field APP ID. (Please be aware the APP ID has to be entered in decimal number)

You need to enter the number of the file in the cards application in the field File Num.

In the field Start you enter the position of the first character you like to read in the file.

In the field Len you enter the number of characters you like to read (Please be aware that if you like to read more characters than in the file, you will get no output)

In the field Card Key you enter the number of the key in the card for this application.

In the field Reader Key you enter the position in the reader’s key store, where you loaded the secret key to. (Key Storage places for DesFire keys are 240 to 255)

In File Type you need to select which type of data storage was selected in the card.

In File Comms you select if the file is stored plain or encrypted or secured with a MAC.

In the field encryption you select, which type of encryption method was used to protect the data.

If you like to read more than one field you select also Custom 2 or Custom 3 and do the same configurations for other applications in the card.
