Card Exchange - Configuration tab missing

We have a number of new starters and are unable to create new log in details for them as our Admin login has lost the Configuration tab since a recent update.  

 

This is  permissions based issue in that I don’t have the ability to add or remove users which may have been reserved for our IT Admin Team in the past but they do not have this access either.

 

I have slightly different permissions from the rest of my Team in that I can usually see all their card setups but I don’t seem to be able to amend our card design any longer.

 

I have not added uses in the past but have used the configuration tab to edit our cards – when spacing was a bit off.    

 

These are the options available to me currently.



Solution


Have the customer close all instances of CardExchange. When they re-open, have them log back in. 
If the issue is still present, then have them close the software again. Go to the Data directory, and check to see if there is a file named lock.xml. If there is one, delete this file and re-open the software. This should be automatically deleted by the software when the user closes the application. I have seen some instances where this does not get automatically removed. Be careful though, only do this when you are experiencing problems as this lock file prevents multiple people from editing at the same time.
