There are 2 known issues under investigation, but as yet unresolved by the Trust ID Developers…
- Activation always required bug
We have instances whereby the installation date/time becomes corrupted. It results in the product constantly asking for activation, it usually works once, and then next time you open TID activation is required again.
We can identify if this bug is the cause by looking at the activation history of the key.
*Temp Solution: Running the exe (and all files) from a new location.
I made a ‘how to’ for the steps to take: http://techs.ultraid.com/tidabw/abw.mp4
No updates will ever be received if this temp workaround is implemented.
- Windows Update breaking Activation bug
After a windows update the activation is requested again.
Let us know, we can re activate the key in a few short moments.
Also note that once a Key has been successfully registered it is then correctly BLOCKED. One key = one installation.
So if the Windows update occurs then activation is requested again, the server will block it and it will fail as the key is technically ‘In Use’ and as such is ‘Blocked’. So we need to manually lift the block.
