v9 to v10 upgrades happen automatically when loading a v9 folder in a v10 application.
This online post included documentation for general troubleshooting and migration for the software here:

Other points to take into consideration
- v9 and v10 can be installed and working concurrently. Make sure the CardExchange.ini configuration files of each application are not pointed to the exact same data folder as there may be issues with the v9 client accessing a v10 convert folder.
- Database connections and card templates would store most of the setup for scripts and plugins. Writings can be found in the card template’s FUnctions tab of the card designer. Application plugins would be found in the Card definition wizard in the Plugin section.
- See info in point 1. It is possible to indicate a specific data folder so long as the CardExchange.ini file is set and the "C:\Program Files (x86)\CardExchange Solutions\CardExchange Gateway\CardExchange.Gateway.exe.config" file is set for v10
- I don’t foresee any issue with an upgrade. v9 to v10 is one of the easier ones to do as the Data folder contains much of the same information. Make sure to test the upgrade on one machine first and see if any additional steps are needed
