To collect a UID from a Mifare card with the 5422 You will need to do the following..
Download and install the Omnikey 5422 drivers here..
Also download and install the Omnikey Workbench tool here..
Once both are installed open the Omnikey Workbench tool on your PC, click "Readers" on the left panel then "Card Diagnostic" on the right. You can then copy the "Smart Card Id" value that appears when a card is presented to the reader. The UID will be in the native hexidecmal format.
