Attached the official HID document relating to adjusting your printers settings.
The transfer settings are important and need setting correctly for the type of cards you have. The transfer temperature is how much heat is put into the card and the dwell time is how fast the card rolls over the heated roller (more time (seconds = more heat.)
If your cards are printed ok but the cards are warping or de-laminating too much heat is being applied to the card.
If you card are not warped but you see white patches in the print then not enough heat is being applied.
To adjust the transfer temperature to get a better print do the following..
Browse to the HDP 5000 printer driver in Devices and Printers, right click and select printing preferences.
- Select the Image Transfer tab.
- Adjust the Transfer Temperature by 5 degrees and print a few cards to see how they print.
- Dwell time is the speed the card rollers over the heated roller. A higher number means it will roll slower and more heat will sink into the card. A small number means slower movement and less heat will sink into the card and decreasing warping.
You can also try adjusting the advanced settings on the card tab > tool box if you need to adjust the transfer offset setting detailed in the PDF
