IDWorks version 6.5 is compatible with Windows 10. However official support for IDWorks ended at the end of March 2022.
The USB dongle ssue is related to the sentinel driver used by the USB license dongle and should be resolvable by following the steps in section 3 of the attached.
If issues continue with IDWorks, migrating to Instant ID is advised.
