Make sure the printer is really clean.
This will fix nearly all rear feed failures, unless anything broken, like pulley etc… but that would be really uncommon.

Also there is something simple you a can do which normally resolved other issues.
1. Remove the ribbon and close the lid of the printer
2. Hold down the meu button.
3. You will See “Soak Test” then press menu button second time
4 You will see soak printer , press button again to begin the soak test. It will need to feed one card to do this.
Let this run for 10 mins and then cancel.
This calibrates the printer sensors and usually resolves the issue you have reported.
