Instant ID - Adding Search element to workflow

Modified on Tue, 31 May, 2022 at 1:34 PM

If you use a “Database Interface” step as the first step in each Workflow, in order to search the database. This isn’t necessary. Instead, you connect the Workflow to a database via the “Properties” tab in Workflow Designer. You only need to use the “Database Interface” step if you wish to use a 2nd database table with the same Workflow.

Once the Workflow has been connected to the database via the Properties tab of Workflow Designer, the missing search fields can be added in the same Properties section of the Workflow.

Open the Workflow in “Design” -> Workflows”, click the pencil icon next to the Workflow you wish to edit, select the “Properties” tab in the Workflow once it has been opened in Designer, select the “Search Configuration” tab and move the fields you wish to search the database by to the “Configured Fields” column and save the changes.
