I have attached a photo for you to inspect to compare with your printer, you can see the main platen roller has a shiny uneven finish instead of the normal clean matt finish. This is because there is printed material on the roller. If your printer is the same you will need to remove this shiny materiel from the roller before you can continue printing.
The best way to remove the printed material as recommended by Magicard Is to use sellotape to pull the material off. Stick a strip of sellotape along the length roller and apply pressure with your finger whilst peeling the tape from the roller then keep repeating this process until the complete roller surface is free of material. It can take 10-20 mins to fully remove the material and return the roller back to its original state.
