Problem: How to resolve resin smear/splotches/lines on a DTC1000/4000/4500/1250e/4250/4500e printer? i.e. User is getting a resin black smear/splotch/line on the card. See attached photo for example.
Solution: Please make sure the printer has the latest firmware and driver installed. Then change the current value of the resin heat adjust from its current value minus 8 points (Subtract 8 from the current setting) . If resin issue still appears, reduce the resin heat even further. The resin heat adjust value can be found under printing preferences>toolbox>advanced settings. See attached word document.
Please Note: If using a standard K ribbon with a DTC1250e/4250e/4500e printer then the Standard K Resin Heat Adjust value needs to be reduced until the smear/splotch/line is eliminated. This is a different advanced setting.
Please ensure your customer printer driver and firmware is up to date, then follow the instructions and let me know if this resolved the issue.
